The man behind the work.

My name is Greg de Jong, I got started experimenting with woodworking in 2013. As a man looking to buy my first house, I was trying to save money when furnishing our home. In my quest, I found a passion and talent for woodworking.

With what started as a hobby, is now transitioning into a new career choice and the founding of The 412. Over the last decade, I have continued to develop my craft with the support and commission of custom orders from family and friends.

My projects are inspired by my passion to create beautiful, innovative, and often one-of-a-kind pieces that capture a special vision that my customers entrust to me.

Currently, my wife and I run our business out of Indianapolis, Indiana. We are actively taking custom commission work with a varied range of applications for our customers. Please note that we can only currently accommodate custom furniture requests for customers within the state of Indiana.

The meaning behind the name.

The 412 came from the Bible verse 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12. We strive to honor God by living a quiet life, that working with our hands is a way to dignify and honor Him. When we combine the love of our brothers with work, we walk properly. We try to honor God through our work by providing high quality pieces.
